Many customers need to measure flush and gap on finished vehicles that often have complex lines and features. Traditional gauging tools are time consuming, lack accuracy, and can scratch finished surfaces. LMI's LaserGauge line-up combines laser-point accuracy, quick measurement time, and robust data collection in a hand-held package that many companies in the automotive and aerospace industries have already adopted for daily use.

Customers use LaserGauge sensors to measure everything from flush and gap to VIN depth on stamped parts. Here's a partial list of what our customers measure with LaserGauge products:

- Flush and gap - Pit/Scratch depth - Stamp depth
- Fastener height - Radius on stamped parts - Weld step height
- Leading edge profile - Break edge - Surface roughness

In addition to red laser technology, blue laser is now available on select sensors. Unlike red laser measurement, the shorter wavelength of the blue laser means that measurements on glass, plastics, and even chrome surfaces can be measured without the use of tape or spray on developer, saving both time and money. Specially developed algorithms and settings ensure that reflections and "bleed through" are minimized, leading to quicker and more repeatable measurements than the competition.

The 763 Blue Cross Vector Sensor takes this technology even further, using two lasers to further see around surface features and deeper into gaps for more accurate and repeatable measurements. Add a TS-800 hand-held USB sensor to the system and there's very little that can't be measured!
