LMI Universal Gage Interface Software (UGI)

UGI Software

Integrates both automated data collecting from AutoGage software package and the versatility of seamless data collection of the Seal Gap software into one power software package.  The system configuration module is configured  by using helpful wizards to guide a user through a part file faster and more effectively.

The system configuration module is configured by using helpful wizards to guide a user through a part file faster and more effectively. UGI offers a strong security feature to password protect individual locations or part files so only the users with correct administrative privileges can edit part files. A global default setup is now incorporated into the UGI software to easily configure multiple gage type tolerances in one simple change. UGI graphics lets the user configure multiple or single part file graphic per part or component. Global inputs and exports are now embedded into UGI to help better track and organize data that is being collected. UGI offers part file conversion from older AutoGage part files (.agp) and Seal Gap part files (.sgs) to be converted to the new UGI (.ugi) format.

UGI Setup & Defaults Screen

UGI default screen offers user the ability to assign global characteristics to individual gauge types.

Each gauge type has individual set Offsets, gauge spans, Upper, Lower Spec limits and Upper, Lower

control limits, also each gauge type can be distinguished by individually associating a color to that gauge type.

Default options give the user the ability to assign unique characteristic to each gauge type without having the pain to individually set each characteristic type. There are 8 individual pre-defined gauge type to select from and associate individual characteristics.

UGI Setup & Grid Screen

The UGI grid setup screen offers users the ability to configure gauge setups and communication.

A gauge type can be configured to have an individual characteristic name and description. A component can be individually created by inputting the data name for that specific component. There are 8 pre-defined gauge type included.

A gauge type can have an association matched with it. This

feature is most useful when measuring a Flush/Gap point.
Calculations can also be configured in the grid, where a calculation can be associated to a single,
multiple or calculated point. Communications can be configured from this windows by assigning ports to individual application and frequency of calibration.

UGI Graphics Screen

UGI graphic screen offers the user complete customization for part file graphics. UGI allows the user to assign a single or multiple graphics per component. The graphic view allows the reading to be moved and or inverted around the selected graphic.

Graphic image formats support in UGI are: .BMP, .JPG, .GIF. Graphic images can be placed in edit mode to rotate and flip graphic. Leader line and spec limits can be associated to individual characteristic point on the screen.

UGI Inputs Screen

Data stamping has been a vital part of data collecting for quite some time as such UGI offers the user a wide variety of data stamping in various forms and methods. A user can assign a data type to a subgroup, a part, a component, or even an individual characteristic. Each data type is pre-defined, and contains 7 various data types: Single, Integer, String, True/False, Date, Time and

User List.

Associating data with a individual part can be done in a manual or automated format and can be configured to be displayed before or after the data has been collected. Each method allows the user a more versatile way to organize and track collected data.

UGI Export Screen

UGI exports screen offer users extreme flexibility saving, naming and locating collected data.Export name and export extension can be configured to export data quick and simple. There are 7 pre-define user extension to choose from: .txt, .DAT, .PRN .DDM, .Quantum, .BSA, .AAI. The users also has the ability to create and define custom extension for individual use.

Inputs can be manually associated into the export format by adding the field name. Format delimiter can also be used to separate export values. The user can completely control the look and feel or the exported data with several custom application.

UGI Calibration & Runtime Screens

UGI calibration screen offers the user the ability to calibrate and store calibrated value for all gages or individual gages.  A 3 step mastering process needs to take place to physically set the travel limits of the gauge. Multiple options such a calibrating all or single points at once are available on this screen for the calibration

process.

UGI offers users a very interactive runtime screen were readings are live in real time as a process is being measured. User have the ability based on defined part file setup to input part information, component information, data trace information and user names. After the completed part has been sample the user has the ability to print the collected data or save the collected data for future use. If the part file has multiple components associated to it the screen will automatically advance to the next measured component.
